Whitey bags a brace!!!
The remainder of the Warriors were given the opportunity to show the management of Leaney and Drapes and it didn't take long for the lads to get the away fans going.
Toby White managed to send a thunderous strike just past the bottom left post with the keeper well beaten. And within minutes Whitey had managed to beat the defender and smash the ball into the back of the net past the oncoming keeper. The Warriors began to take the game to Portishead and were playing some great football on the flanks with some entertaining work from Ollie Toogood and Ollie Jones.
The second goal again came from the boot of Whitey, this time a well worked move down the right from Toogood swinging a fantastic cross in which the keeper misread and it hit the crossbar and fell to Whitey who calmly slotted home and took the Warriors in at half time 0-2 up.
The second half was literally a different story and the Warriors couldn't seem to find the right gear like in the first half and it didn't take long for Portishead to pounce on this as they pressed for a goal. Town managed to finally get the ball in the back of the net due to some poor marking at the back post, Jamie Draper was unable to keep it out. The equalizer came soon after, but was clearly offside - but due to no linesman and a home referee they played on and with 3 against Draper they calmly slotted it past him.
The score stayed the same, but the Warriors did have a few more chances to get the win. Final result
